"The Archeo Memory series of paintings presents a collection of dreamlike visions. Luminescent figures float in a suspended aquatic world, carrying their own coloured lights through the frozen time of the unconscious. With their eyes closed, as if dazzled, the bodies present stand alongside blind statues, forming a whole sleeping population, their gaze turned inward.

The paintings function as allegories, questioning the representation of the body, intrauterine life and sometimes suffering through broken, amputated statues. The bodies are in transition, sometimes adolescent, sometimes androgynous. It is an intimate series that deals with the meanderings of the unconscious.

These figures are accompanied by half-submerged organs which, through a play of colours and transparencies, become mysterious objects. Hearts of different sizes float in the water like vases or ancient jars, sometimes evoking strange wind instruments with organic shapes. In cross-section, they reveal small cavities reminiscent of the mineral decorations of the caves that shelter them.

A metaphor for the matrix space, bodily fluids and psychic life, water is here a symbolic space that produces reflections. Like a stretched mirror, it shows an inverted double of the motifs.

Archeo Memory is an archaeology of my various representations of the body. The exhibition offers a journey through different layers of the unconscious, like X-rays of our relationship with life. By exploring these scenes populated by archetypal figures, we scan our impulses, our relationship with existence and the cosmos, as if probing the bottom of a lake in search of sunken worlds."

"​La série de peintures Archeo Memory propose un ensemble de visions oniriques. Des figures luminescentes flottent dans un monde aquatique en suspens, elles portent leurs propres lumières colorées à travers le temps figé de l’inconscient. Les yeux fermés, comme éblouis, les corps présents côtoient des statues aveugles, c’est tout un peuple endormi, le regard tourné vers l’intérieur.

Les tableaux fonctionnent comme des allégories, interrogeant la représentation du corps, la vie intra-utérine et parfois la souffrance à travers les statues brisées, amputées. Les corps sont en transition, parfois adolescents, parfois androgynes. C’est une série intime qui traite des méandres de l’inconscient.

Ces figures sont accompagnées d’organes à demi immergés qui par un jeu de couleurs et de transparences deviennent de mystérieux objets. Des cœurs de différentes tailles flottent dans l’eau comme des vases ou des jarres antiques, ils évoquent parfois d’étranges instruments à vent aux formes organiques. En coupe latérale, ils dévoilent de petites cavités rappelant les décors minéraux des cavernes qui les abritent.

Métaphore de l’espace matriciel, des fluides corporels et de la vie psychique, l’eau est ici un espace symbolique qui produit des reflets. Comme un miroir tendu, elle montre un double inversé des motifs.

Archeo Memory est une archéologie de mes diverses représentations du corps, l’exposition propose une déambulation à travers différentes strates de l’inconscient comme autant de radiographies de notre rapport à la vie. En explorant ces scènes peuplées de figures archétypales, il s’agit de scanner nos pulsions, notre rapport à l’existence et au cosmos comme on sonderait le fond d’un lac à la recherche de mondes engloutis."
